Mummy's lil' helper :)

Precious lil' princess,

You've been a most wonderful sister since the birth of your baby sister Chloe.. In fact, you have been a very sweet sister since the day daddy and mummy introduced you to mummy's lil' bump.. =)

Before Chloe was born, mummy had been warned by so many well-meaning friends, many of whom already have several kids, to watch out for jealousy... Not just for fear that the jealousy might lead you to hurt your sister.. but also that darling would feel hurt and neglected..

Thankfully, daddy and mummy's precious lil' princess has been all but the above... Darling has been so loving towards your sister that mummy feels guilty for ever entertaining thoughts that you might hurt your sister out of jealousy..

Besides trying to kiss and pat your sister whenever you have the chance, darling would also attempt to carry your sister.. And to distract you from your attempt, mummy would ask you, "Where're your muscles??" That always does the trick! :) Cos darling would then flex your arms trying to show mummy your non-existent biceps.. and be amused by your own attempt... :)

Whenever mummy is trying to burp your sister, you would also attempt to help.. However, Chloe is so small that there isn't actually enough 'room' for 2 hands.. So darling would always try to push mummy's hand away.. And when you are 'tired' of burping her, darling would then come and burp mummy! :) Mummy would usually play along and give a loud burp.. which only fuels your enthusiasm and slap me harder on the back! And when you are done burping mummy, darling would always give mummy a big hug from behind... :) Sigh.. That totally melts my heart..

And while mummy is feeding Chloe, darling would always be a busy bee... switching on and off the aircon, the fan... either saying "妹妹cold cold" or "妹妹热热"... take tissue paper for mummy to clean up Chloe's spilt milk (when I didn't ask for it)... arrange Chloe's pillow, pacifier... And your most 'helpful' attempt was in picking up the portable night lamp, lift up your shirt and tell mummy you want to "弄milk milk, give妹妹"! Haa.. Nice try, darling!

Occasionally, darling would also become mummy's messenger... Helping mummy to convey messages to daddy when mummy is busy feeding or changing Chloe and needs some help.. =)

Well, these are but just a few examples of darling's 'helpfulness'.. :)

Precious lil' one, thank you for being mummy's lil' helper.. Mummy's so glad to have you in my life... And Chloe's so fortunate to have such a loving sister like you.. :)

Love,
Mummy
