Thunder scare...

2 months and 13 days old... That's when Raeanne encountered your first thunder experience.

Yesterday, at about 4pm, mummy picked you up to give you some water.. Just when mummy had you in my arms, lightning flashed and mummy heard your grandpa say from the kitchen, "Hold on to 恩恩 tightly, cos there's going to be thunder soon." But before mummy could put my other arm around you, thunder roared...

My precious lil' girl went into a state of shock in mummy's arm and started crying immediately.. Darling looked so frightened that mummy's heart ached.. Mummy then held you tightly, close to me. Amazingly, darling stopped crying after a sec or two and even started smiling! Precious lil' one, mummy's really amazed at how fast you got over the thunder scare..

Actually, mummy would like to believe that it was because mummy had held you close to me... which then made sweetheart feel safe and loved and hence got over the fear... =)

This morning, again, Raeanne went through another thunder scare... When the first thunder sounded, mummy quickly rushed out of the room to where darling was sleeping to check on you.. That time, darling was still asleep but your lips were curved downwards.. Mummy then placed my hands on your chest to pat you, soothe your fears.. But a louder thunder sounded again.. This time round, darling started crying so bitterly.. Mummy quickly picked you up and cuddle you tightly. Again, it worked. Sweetheart was pacified in no time.

Because the rain was so heavy, mummy decided to let you sleep in my arms so that you won't get another thunder scare... That 20 mins or so was so precious and unforgettable for mummy...

Holding my lil' sweetheart so tightly and close by, mummy felt a very very strong bond with you... Especially when you looked into mummy's eyes and smiled... Mummy wouldn't have given up that moment for anything. It felt as though darling was still growing within mummy... Zero distance between us.. Then, mummy had a very strong urge to give up work so that mummy could stay at home and watch you grow up.. Be the first one to see darling crawl.. To hear you mutter your first word.. To be there for you all the time...

When darling fell asleep in mummy's arms, darling kept snuggling yourself closer and closer to mummy.. And it really melted my heart to see you sleeping so soundly and feeling your lil' being so close to mummy...

My precious lil' sweetheart, mummy had always known that mummy loved you.. But today, it really hit me how strong mummy's love for you is...
