Our precious lil' gem..

My dearest Raeanne,

Right now, mummy is anxiously waiting for you to come back from the nursery.. Cos the drs are examining you now. And by the time you come back to mummy's side, your bilirubin result will probably be out..

Last night, you didn't look too good.. We could see that you were turning more yellow compared to the past few days.. Our lil' darling was also not feeding well.. You were so tired, sleeping all the time, even past your feeding time.. And when daddy and mummy tried to wake you to feed you, you didn't manage to drink a lot too no matter how we coaxed you..

After a few attempts, mummy and daddy decided not to force you to drink anymore. At that time, you were so awake, eyes shining bright and looking around.. =) And when you fixed your beautiful gaze on mummy, mummy's heart really melted.. You were listening to mummy so intently.. as though you could really understand me.. I guess that's what they call maternal bonding... Even without words, we can feel each other's love.. =)

As it was getting late, we had to push you back to the nursery... Mummy and daddy were full of reluctance to leave you.. And the moment we left you in the care of the nurse at the nursery, our lil' darling began to cry... That moment, mummy also felt like crying.. Everytime my lil' sweetheart cries, mummy also feel like crying.. Not because I'm upset with you, but because it really pains me to see you cry.. And mummy knows that daddy feels the same heartache too.. These few days, daddy has been so worried and stressed out because of his worries about our lil' angel.. Never have I seen daddy so distressed and worried before..

My lil' sweetheart, do you know that you are the most important person to mummy and daddy? We would do anything, just as long as you'll be fine, healthy and happy..

Daddy and mummy's beautiful lil' angel, we love you..

P.S: Staff nurse Siew Pang fr the nursery just called mummy to tell me that your bilirubin levels are still ok today! Though the drs have yet to see you, she said our lil' sweetheart should be able to go back home today!! Yea!! =)
