Raeanne's first night with mummy and daddy..

Finally, my lil' darling has gone to sleep.. And many thanks to daddy who has done all the necessary housework, which explains why mummy has the time to catch a nap just now and finally sit in front of the laptop to write this for you...

Last night was Raeanne's very first night with mummy and daddy.. For the past few days, busy and tired as we were, at least at night we had the help of the nurses at the nursery to look after you and feed you.. So at least we managed to catch some sleep.. But last night, mummy and daddy barely managed to catch 40 winks..

My lil' darling is supposed to be fed every 3 hourly.. And it is especially important for you cos you have to eat enough so that you'll poo enough, which will then help to remove the bilirubin from your body.. Problem is, my lil' darling is such a sleepyhead that you always fall asleep before mummy manage to feed you the amount that you require.. So the feeding process always takes very long.. and by the time you finish, its almost time for your next feed! (Mummy was told the 3 hourly starts from the time you start feeding, not when you finish feeding..)

Funny thing is, while you were in the nursery, the nurses always 'complain' to mummy that you never fail to wake the whole ward when they don't feed you in time and that you won't let them off till they have fed you 70ml of milk at least! (your requirement now is only 60ml.) But whenever you come to mummy's room to be fed, you are always so sleepy and contented.. Not making any noise at all.. They said that you must be feeling too cosy with mummy and daddy that's why you are sleeping so well.. Well, I know many mummies will probably be so envious of mummy to have such a good darling like you, who doesn't cry thru the night.. But right now, it isn't such a good thing for you to sleep past your feeding time, sweetheart..

Mummy's aching all over right now.. Perhaps due to a lack of rest.. But luckily for mummy, daddy's always around for us.. Without daddy, mummy wouldn't have been able to last till right now.. nor have the time and energy to write this for you.. Tiring as it is, I'm not complaining cos at least my sweetheart is back home by mummy and daddy's side.. And seeing that my lil' darling is well, that's all the painkiller mummy needs..

Sleep well, lil' darling and daddy.. Mummy's going to get some food now before its time to feed you again.. =)
