Mummy's lil' sweetheart...
You've been misbehaving recently.. Well, maybe that's not the right way to put it, cos, since when have you behaved well?? Mummy should probably say, you've have been extremely naughty lately!
Last sat night, you practically kept mummy and daddy busy from 11pm till 7am!! That's right, no mistake about that! It's not 7pm to 11pm, but 11PM till 7AM! Now now, aren't you ashamed of yourself??
That night, after feeding you at about 11 plus, you became very very wide awake! What's worse was that you refused to be ignored.. Our darling Raeanne's radio would start broadcasting the moment we lay you down in your cot.. Daddy and mummy had no choice but to take turns to coo you to sleep.. But you remained extremely uncooperative!
At about 5 am, mummy took over from daddy and brought you out to the living room.. Mummy held you in my arms, patted you while walking around the house.. Usually, that's the last trick we resort to to get you to sleep.. But everytime mummy looked down at you, you would stare back at me with huge eyes that says 'I-m-so-awake!' So the walking-cum-patting went on for quite a while before your eyes finally shut... That moment, you can't imagine how ecstatic mummy was! After an 'action-packed' night, our lil' tyrant has finally gone to sleep!
But mummy's happiness was short-lived.. The moment mummy put you back in your cot, it's as though that's the 'switch-on' mechanism for your 'radio'... The broadcast started again... Mummy had lost all patience by then.. So had daddy.. So daddy said, we shall not be nice to you anymore.. Since it was almost 7am already, we shall let you cry till you finally understand that no one's going to pick you up, or till you become tired and go to sleep yourself.. Whichever first... And so your radio volume became increasing louder and LOUder and LOUDER...
Daddy and mummy didn't give in, but lucky you... Granny came to your rescue! She couldn't bear to let you cry so bitterly anymore and so she picked you up.. It took a while after granny picked you up before you decided to stop your broadcast for the day...
Finally, daddy and mummy could finally have some sleep.. At 7AM!
Lil' sweetheart, before you came into this world, daddy always said he wants many siblings for you.. Mummy was the only who had misgivings about that (at that time!) cos of the horrible nausea that you gave mummy for almost 5 months! But guess what? Yesterday, daddy told mummy, "I think just one more is enough... Can't imagine another lil' tyrant like her (looking at you)!" Daddy said that in a 'I-surrender' tone, shaking his head in horror...
Haahaa... darling Raeanne, see what you've done?? You've caused tremendous emotional and mental distress to daddy and mummy!! So much that daddy has changed his mind.. Mummy don't know whether to thank you or not... Thanks to you becos mummy has been spared the morning sickness nightmare.. But no thanks to you for the many sleepless nights that you've been giving us!!
Latest update.. Last night, you kept granny up till 4am! Goodness me.. When are you going to learn night from day?? Tonight, mummy and daddy has taken over the responsibility of cooing our lil' tyrant to sleep.. You better be good tonight k??
