Brave & Happy girl!

Mm... it's been a week full of progress for you, lil' one..

1st, mummy received a sms from Aunty Shuping last thur that grandpa spotted something fishy on your lower gums... "Raeanne is growing teeth!", she wrote. Mummy was sceptical. 4.5 months and teething? Their eyes must be playing tricks on them..

Until mummy & daddy reached grandpa's house and saw that tiny flash of white ourselves... Goodness gracious! Could that be the reason darling why has been drooling & chewing at your mittens? And come to think of it, that goes a few weeks back! (And you know what, Aunty Liyan was the 1st to ask mummy if darling was teething then... But mummy said Impossible! But now... Oops!;p)

Then, on saturday night, it was once again sleep-with-daddy-mummy-day. Well, since darling seemed to enjoy sleeping on our bed last weekend, we decided to let you sleep on our bed again this week... And big surprise we got! In the middle of the night, when mummy noticed darling sweating so much, mummy removed your wrap, hence freeing your hands and legs... And flip! Darling flipped yourself onto the stomach position! Mummy was so amused to see that cos sweetie really looked comfortable sleeping in that position.

Since your 1st attempt, darling always tries to flip whenever we place you on the bed now. However, darling's flipping stunt is most of the time 'one-way' only. Hence, whenever you use all your might but still can't roll yourself back, our little sweetie pie will turn into a menace and start screaming!

Lil' sweetheart is also more awake and alert these days.. All you need is a power 10 mins nap and that can last you through to the night! God knows where you get your energy from! Most of the time we tire before you tire! Even though the one kicking and thrashing about is our petite lil' one! (Sigh, getting old!)

Not only so, darling also refused to be ignored! On sat night, before darling turned in, all of us were happily playing with our lovable lil' girl.. But midway, we got distracted and started talking among ourselves... Seeing that no one's attention is on you anymore, darling screamed "Eh!"... Well, that sure did get all of our attention back onto our royal lil' one! Though sweetheart meant to be 'fierce', it really turned out very amusing to the rest of us who couldn't stop laughing at how 'obnoxious' our mighty princess is!

And on sun, we tried to let sweetie sit in a walker... Well, 1st time, darling was excited at the new toy & was hence very happy.. But not so the 2nd & 3rd time. Daddy's conclusion: Darling's feet are barely touching the ground. With the pressure of your heavy lil' body all on your bum, suspended on that tiny piece of cloth, the discomfort eventually took the joy out of playing with the new toy. And so,darling resumed sitting on our laps instead..

Today, darling went for your 3rd booster shots... If you had known what the doctor & nurses were going to do to you, you probably wouldn't have smiled & played with them so much that they kept calling darling a "very happy girl"! Right up till the second before the needle went in, darling was still all smiles! And then, your face cringed up & sweetie's smile was replaced with angry cries...

On the bright side, darling's cries was unlike the past 2 times when you cried so bitterly and was a look of pity that mummy's heart broke. Today, darling's cries were more like "What-are-u-doing!It's-so-painful!" kind of cries. No tears. Just angry... And right after we walked out of the treatment room, darling was all smiles & playing again!

My lil' sweetheart, you were so brave! Has your pain threshold increased? Or was it because today daddy was by your side that made sweetie extra brave? =)

Whatever the reason, daddy and mummy want you to know, you are the most wonderful lil' princess and will always be our precious lil' one... Lil' sweetheart, we love you lots...
