Sleeping beauty

Dearest 恩恩,

Well, this isn't going to be a fairy tale story telling session even though the title looks like it... The sleeping beauty in the limelight is our darling Raeanne...
Mm.. don't be too happy yet.. Cos it's not going to be all praise for you.. In fact, mummy is going to expose your tyrannical deeds!

Last night was a peaceful night for all, except for a tiny flat in Jurong where a tiny lil' tyrant stays.. After the tyrant had her milk at about 11pm, she was so awake, so full of energy, so restless, so TYRANNICAL!! This lil' tyrant refused to be left on her rocker alone.. Even when being cuddled, she'll squirm here and there and after a while, start her whining.. So her mummy and daddy had to take turns to carry her and walk around the house.. That went on and on and soon it's time for another feed..



And so 'gulp, gulp, gulp..' she drank her milk.. Finally, her eyelids seem droopy.. Her mummy then rocked the lil' tyrant in her arms till she fell asleep - or rather, seemed asleep before transferring her onto her new rocking cradle.. This lil' tyrant is not just tyrannical, but a greedy one at that.. Cos while 'sleeping', her mouth continued sucking and sucking and sucking.. Before long, her big eyes were back in action.. and vocals back in broadcast! =(

M & D thought this lil' tyrant was still hungry, so fed her a lil' more.. But this lil' tyrant really lives up to her reputation of being a tyrant.. Even after feeding, she refused to sleep.. So again, M & D had to take turns carrying her and rocking her to get her to sleep.. But each time D & M thought she's asleep and put on onto her cradle, the ultra loud radio will start.. Even the sweet-tempered daddy could no longer take it and mentioned about buying canes to spank the tyrant if she continues to misbehave...



At 2 am, mummy had no choice but to carry this lil' tyrant out to the living room so that poor daddy can have his sleep.. Mummy walked to the balcony.. Every unit in the opposite blk was dark.. Everyone's sleeping already.. Mummy then turned to look at the lil' tyrant.. Sigh, eyes still so sparkling big.. But at least the radio station has stopped broadcasting..

~ 3am, finally the lil' tyrant fell asleep.. Eyes still flicker open occasionally as if to spot check if mummy is still holding her or placed her onto the cradle already.. So mummy decided to hold her just a lil' while more to ensure that she's in deep slumber before bringing her into the room.. Just then, mummy's saviour arrived! The lil' tyrant's granny.. She probably saw mummy's 'I-can't-lift-my-eyelids-anymore' look.. So she told mummy to leave the lil' tyrant with her for the rest of the night.. Mummy refused initially cos granny had been looking after the tyrant for the past 2 nights already.. But when granny insisted once more, mummy could no longer resist the temptation..

My darling Raeanne, can you believe that this lil' tyrant is YOU??!!

"Why call me sleeping beauty then?", you may ask... Well, it's on nights like this that D & M decided that you look most beautiful when you are asleep! Cos that's when you are at your best behaviour.. and that's when you look most angelic!

Well, of cos if you don't misbehave, you'll be a beauty too when awake... But definitely not when you are being a tyrant!

Sigh, tonight mummy's going to look after you.. Please, please, please... Be good tonight okie?? Or else, D & M will really go 'cane shopping' to spank your tiny lil' bum! ;p
