Oops! You did it again...

My lil' darling did it again last night... You really gave mummy a scare, you know.

Last night, after your 'supper' at about 11pm, darling fell asleep soon after that... All the way till about 3am, mummy was awaken by your unhappy grunts. Mummy thought it was because you were hungry. But apparently not.

Darling's hands had managed to 'escape' out of your wrap and was frantically waving both arms in the air. Mummy decided to wrap you up again before going to prepare your milk cos mummy was worried you might be feeling cold since it was raining then. And surprisingly, once mummy had you wrapped up tight and warm, darling fell into a deep slumber almost immediately. Not stirring even a bit. Well, good for you and good for me.. Mummy then went back to sleep like darling...

Then about 6am, mummy was woken by some noise again.. Nope, it wasn't darling's screams... But the sound of your powder case being knocked around. That didn't sound good. Mummy sat up in my bed and to my horror, darling had almost completely slid off your rocking chair! Only your head was still resting on the end of the chair.. Mummy immediately scooped you up. Any second later and darling's head might just hit the platform!

Although mummy managed to pick you up just in time and darling was still happily sleeping throughout the whole ordeal, mummy still felt shocked and frightened. Lots of "what-if"s went through mummy's mind... Mummy couldn't help but hold you close to me. That was meant to comfort darling and to allay your fears.. But judging from the way darling continued your sweet dreams, mummy was the one who needed the comfort, to know that darling is still safe and sound...

This is already the second time that the buckle came loose and darling came sliding down your rocking chair... The first time, darling was sleeping on daddy's side of the bed.. And unfortunately (or fortunately), darling slid all the way onto the platform but was luckily not hurt and in fact slept through the whole 'adventure' without stirring a single bit.

Since that episode, mummy always test the buckle by pulling on it a few times after securing it. Last night, mummy did that as per usual. No problem, the buckle didn't give way even after a few tugs. But looks like darling's got more strength than mummy... Darling's kicks are getting so powerful these days! Daddy and mummy gotta start thinking of new and better ways to secure that lousy buckle!

This afternoon, the buckle came loose again! Arrgghhh.... But luckily, mummy had put a cushion at the foot of your rocking chair already. Plus, mummy happened to step out of the study room to check on you just in time, before darling starts practising your kungfu kicks and slides down again!

Apart from the nerve-wrecking 'adventure', this weekend with darling has been an extremely wonderful one... Darling has become so playful recently and always flashing your ultra sunshine smile! When mummy sat beside you to watch the "Wheels on the bus" dvd, darling actually chose to look at and play with mummy instead! Ohh... my precious lil' one, you are such a dearie, you know. Daddy and mummy's life has brightened so much since you joined us in this world..

Our precious lil' one, daddy and mummy love you lots! =)
